Flo Moore excels at jazz bass and studies at the Royal Academy of Music.
Born in Aylesbury, she began playing music at a young age and performed with several local ensembles, notably the award-winning Aylesbury Music Centre Dance Band, with whom she performed at the Royal Albert Hall, the National Festival Hall and the North Sea Jazz Festival.
Since moving to London in 2011, she has performed with some of the world’s finest jazz musicians, including Peter King, Bobby Watson and Jason Rebello, and has played at several prestigious venues, such as Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club and King’s Place.
While she has been influenced by jazz artists like John Coltrane and Bill Evans, she has also taken inspiration from great songwriters such as Paul Simon, James Taylor and Carole King. It was through these similar interests that Flo became involved with the Ben Cox Band in 2013.
