Adam is from Manchester and was schooled at Chetham’s school of music from 11. He enjoyed playing with all sorts of local Manchester bands whilst at school and benefited hugely from the guidance of Iain Dixon and Les Chisnall, who together had the greatest influence on him as an emerging musician.
Since moving to London in 2010 to study on the jazz course at The Guildhall, Adam has worked with groups and orchestras such as the Manchester Concert Orchestra, The Syd Lawrence Orchestra, London Jazz Orchestra, Jeff Hooper Big Band, The 606 Big Band and has played in musical theatre productions across the country. Adam is also a current member of the National Youth Jazz Orchestra and enjoys playing for an array of pop artists, who have included Katy B, These New Puritans and Everything Everything.
A few of Adam’s greatest influences include the likes of Kenny Wheeler, Derek Watkins, Freddie Hubbard, Wayne Shorter and Miles Davis.
